A 'talent' was originally a unit of money. Some people are born
into rich families; others make money for themselves. You can earn
money, invest what you have, save or even gamble. Likewise, everyone
has some talent and you do not know the limit of yours until you
develop it. To say someone is naturally talented is a shorthand
way of saying that they are very good and you don't know why.
Talent does not explain; it describes. Discover how much talent
you have and enjoy the search. What counts are your results and
the skills that you develop by practice.

You probably have or are having coaching for your physical and technical
game. We all appreciate how important this is. But who coaches your mental
game? Do you have the 'Inner Edge'?
| Why
is the mental game so important in sport? |
The main barriers that come up when improving sport performance are not
necessarily physical or technical, but rather mental or emotional.
Below are just a few examples of mental and emotional barriers:
 |
Lack of confidence |
 |
Negative mental attitude |
 |
Pre-performance anxiety |
 |
Choke under pressure |
Your mental activity has a huge impact on your physical activity. No
matter how hard you practice your physical game, if your mental game is
not ready, problems will inevitably arise.
Fact: The difference between a good sports person and a winning
sports person is that the winning sports person has the 'Inner Edge'!
